Physical Therapy

Rapha specializes in pediatric therapy. We provide one-one-treatment to children with a variety of ailments, ages 0-21. Rather than attempt to treat the symptoms of disease or injury, we actually help the patient with the development of movement. Physical therapy helps children move with greater ease through their natural environment by developing the strength and range of motion they need. We can sometimes correct the symptoms through helping the child develop basic motor skills. We work on developmental milestones like standing, sitting, crawling and walking and recommend adaptive equipment (like braces and splints).

Occupational Therapy

Our Occupational Therapy staff helps children perform everyday skills such as feeding or dressing themselves, improving handwriting, going to the bathroom independently, and many other age appropriate skills. Our therapists focus on developing fine motor, visual-motor, and sensory processing skills needed for organizing and planning movement, play and socialization, and oral-motor functioning.

Speech Therapy

We provide speech-language therapy for children from preschool throughout high school and college. We specialize in evaluating and treating communication difficulties related to speech, language, literacy, and social skills. Therapy sessions are individually tailored to meet the needs of each child. Parents receive a home exercise program and education in how to promote carryover of skills at home. With parent permission, therapy updates can be shared with your child’s teacher to promote carryover of skills at school.

Orthopedic Program

Young athletes are important to us! Our therapists offer unique and individualized rehabilitation programs that incorporate manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and patient education for a variety of musculoskeletal ailments and sports injuries. We can even work closely with your child’s coach to ensure a good recovery to optimize physical performance.
